The White-Crowned Pionus has a somewhat stronger personality than most other Pionus species. This is one of the smaller of the Pionus species. Pionus make great family pets!

At about nine weeks of age, these chicks are ready to fly.

The amount of white on the forehead
will increase with age.

Pionus Parrots should be fed a diet that is high in fresh vegetables and fruits.

This is a breeding pair of White-Crowned Pionus at our ranch. The Pionus become quite agitated during breeding season and can become aggressive towards the keeper.
